The Ardee Awards honor the very best in the visual and performing arts and those whose support through leadership, education and collaboration have had a significant impact on those endeavors. Dinner, keynote speaker Dudley Riggs, entertainment, and who will win the coveted Ardee for 2017?

Named in honor of Mayor Ardell F. Brede, the Ardees are awarded in 9 categories based upon decisions by an independent selection committee from a call for community nominations, a popular vote for People's Choice and the Mayor's choice for Public Art. Three semi-finalists are honored for their excellence in the arts, with the finalist in each category announced that evening after dinner. Keynote speaker Dudley Riggs is considered the Father of Improvisational Theatre (Think Second City and SNL), the Founder and Artistic Director Emeritus of Brave New Workshop in Minneapolis (mentor to Al Franken and Louis Anderson among others), and now Author. The first 75 households to purchase a ticket will receive a free autographed copy of Mr. Riggs' new memoir "Flying Funny- My Life Without a Net". Deadline to purchase tickets is October 11th. Reception: 5:15 pm, Dinner: 6:00 pm, Program begins with KTTC Hosts Tom Overlie and Caitlin Alexander at 7:00 pm. Entertainment by pianist Eric Straubmuller and the Honors Choirs preview of next year's summer musical. And all finished by 8:30 pm!
